Chapter members at the dedication of our "Melted Majesty" marker outside the Oliver Wolcott home in Litchfield. The marker honors the women and children of the village who worked to melt down and create musket ball cartridges from the statue of King George, transported from Bowling Green to Litchfield by oxcart during the American Revolution.
